the first effect of existentialism is that it puts every man in possession of himself as he is, and places the entire responsibility for his existence squarely upon his own shoulders. Whereas I find the first effect of this beer to be the tropical aroma.
This IPA is bloody good, one of the best beers from Cloudwater this year (tied with that excellent Tasty Like Nelson DIPA from a few weeks back). I've had to order more to come this week just to meet my own personal demand for it.
It's a Double Dry Hopped IPA brewed exclusively with Simcoe. However this is not the Simcoe you are used to. Cloudwater flew out to Yakima Valley last year to choose their own hops and picked this particular batch. Instead of the usual citrus with earthiness and pine, this batch is just pure tropical fruit.
Also since its Double Dry Hopped IPA with an intensity of 24g/l you are hit by that juicy pineappleyness straight away before the back up of peach and light bitterness. This is a smooth full bodied beer that you could easily drink a few cans of and that I will.
