In comparison to the cloaked lives our elders have had to live, we're so much freer to live open, visible, and authentic lives. This beer is a nod to those elders, with the name referencing the line from Lord Alfred Douglas' poem Two Loves, made famous by Oscar Wilde in a collection of poetry, later used as proof in the persecution and prosecution of his sexuality. The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name is a rich and roasty American stout. Brewed with a complex malt bill and classic U.S. hops Cascade, Chinook, and Simcoe, it's dark, inviting, and quite luscious for its approachable 4.7% strength.
